2 more days!

So I have been slowly getting it together...I haven't been eating out during the day as much and I'm starting to notice a difference by not being tired as much. I feel pressure from another contestant wanting to have everyone lose weight at each weigh in..(no pressure!) I don't want to be that one that ruins it all!. I got my hair done today and it looks awesome (shout out to Theresa at Famous Hair!) so that makes me feel better. I also went and worked out today...I started this contest slow, but aren't you supposed to start off a race slow so you can keep up the momentum the whole race? I'm just gonna pretend that's what I'm doing!!!

why is this so hard?

This is really hard and frustrating..I try my clothes on and get upset because nothing looks right. I don't do tons of things I want to do because of embarrassment and lack of energy. All I have to do is not ea a bunch of crap and get off my butt and move, but I am failing. It sounds so simple...there is so many reasons for motivation but yet I can't do it. Everyone has an answer but I can't find the solution for myself. Hopefully I will have an epiphany soon and everything will fall into place...Keep me in your prayers!!!

Darn you stress and blue mountain dew!

So I have had the most stressful week I have had in a long time..(I just want to say I wish people would just be nice and not so judgmental which will happen as soon as a total stranger hands me a gazillion dollars!)   Anyways back to stress and blue mountain dew..I am definitly a stress eater so I didn't eat that great, but I also didn't do terribly awful either. Its so hard n expensive to eat right. There are so many factors like stress, time, and money that causes failure when trying to change your eating habits, I wish there was a simple answer, but when you try to look for an answer you get millions of websites and its impossible to narrow it down...
Last night one of my good friends asked if I wanted to walk while our kids were at dance class (which is a whole hour! lol) I said sure it would be great...During the walk my boyfriends son, who I gave a few dollars to get himself and my kids something at the store, called and said they have a whole 2 liter of blue mountain dew. To those of you who are not familiar with this a few months ago mountain dew releases a few limited edition flavors, one of them being blue, that have since been discontinued so it is difficult to find it. It tastes like liquid fizzy cotton candy and its delicious! So of course I said BUY IT!!!  I came home..cracked the bottle open and drowned my sorrows away with over a liter of liquid sugar....Feeling great this morning though!!!

Spinach Dip....DENIED!!!!

So I went with the boys to Applebees last night and for the first time I ordered off the healthy menu...I wanted the spinach dip..bad...but I did not order any appetizers, drank water with lemon and had the chipotle lime chicken..I'm not gonna lie...I did eat 3 of my son's french fries and had a sip of his oreo shake ( I had to make sure it was safe for him to drink!) but I was proud that I only did that. I felt good when I left and didn't feel like I wanted to go home and be sick from overeating...What a great feeling it was! Gonna go to Pulse tomorrow for combat class..Have  a great night everyone ;-)

I worked out today!! Yay for me!

So I know most of my competitors have gotten off to a great start and I am so proud of them, but unfortunatly I havent't..But its turning all around! I worked out at 530 am today (no that's not a says AM) It was very difficult for me but I got my butt out of bed and did it...It was a cycling class at Pulse and it was great except for the lack of comfortable cushioning for my toosh but that I will have to get used to.
I have been eating pretty good this week and have been drinking water..
I am hoping to continue the morning workout because I feel great today and I'm not dreading having to find the time later to do it....Hopefully I will start going to the YMCA soon so my hours I can work out are expanded.....TaTa!!

Not doing so good :-(

So today is my fifth day of the contest and I have literally done nothing. Oh..wait..I have thought of things I need to do so technically I have done something!! I'm just having a rough time getting jump started. I wake up in the morning with every intention of doing what I need to do, but since I'm on the go all the time with my job I tend to fall off the tracks (actually I would compare it more to a collision with an ongoing train going 150 mph) Did that make sense?
Anyways if anyone has tips that would definitely be awesome. I'm going to plan and start Monday (hopefully) I'm sure the article printed in the paper  this Sunday will for sure give me the kick in the butt I need ( again hopefully)....Wish me luck!!!!
